JEC Composites Show 2009: Automation, subcontracting and biocomposites

The composite industry’s leading trade fair, the JEC Composites Show, will take place on March 24-25-26, 2009 in Paris, France at the Porte de Versailles. The Show will provide a comprehensive overview of the value chain, from raw-material producers to processors, from processors to users. JEC will present all the new trends in their context, as usual, with a focus this year on the environment through three types of complementary responses to such issues: automation, subcontracting and biocomposites. Composite materials must not only comply with current European recycling and sustainable-development standards, but also anticipate on future requirements.Facts and figuresMarch 24-25-26, 2009, Porte de Versailles (Paris, France)1,053 exhibiting brand names27,000 visitors from 96 countries expected46,500 m² of exhibition floor space, 8 halls10 special programmes“Connecting science, technology and business”JEC Group brings together the composite sector’s different players from the research, academic and industrial communities. As JEC Group President and CEO Frédérique Mutel puts it: “Our mission is to connect science, technology, industry and end-market. In 2009, we will offer an additional service with our “Composite Business Meetings” programme. We will deploy the programme first for the annual Show in Paris, then at our annual JEC Asia trade fair in Singapore, in October 2009.” Three new themes for end-user forumsBesides the basic themed end-user forums that JEC organizes for key segments of the composite industry (aeronautics, automotive, ground transport, marine, building & construction), the Group is also addressing user expectations with three new forums, on wind energy, automation and biocomposites. In 2008, close to 2,000 people attended these forums. This year, we have added a technical conference on Composites and Design Concept. Guest of Honour: Germany The JEC Group is acknowledging the importance of the German market for the composite sector by honouring Germany at the 2009 Show. Germany benefits from its strong automotive industry (10.76% of global production) and dynamic wind-turbine, marine and aviation sectors. About 300 German companies will be exhibiting at the Show, and 4,000 German visitors are expected. Bruno Lammers, CEO of Saertex Gmbh, will preside over the 2009 JEC Composites Show.
Posteo esta nota porque se me hace interesante el crecimiento de materiales novedosos como composites.
