During January and February several researchers have participated (some of the anonymously) on the discussion on the firing of two of the most prominent mexican scientists in the Nanotechnology field Mauricio y Humberto Terrones Maldonado from their academic and research positions at IPICYT (Potosine Institute for Scientific and Technological Research); access to IPICYT's facilities is not allowed for both researchers, where not only the scientific equipment obtained throught external funding, but also their collaborators and Graduate students are being left out of their academic and scientifical leadership.
In the commentary section, everyone interested on supporting an Open Letter, which will be adressed to several Academic, Research and Government officers and media to ask for the reconsideration and recovering of the laboral and research warranties for the Terrones' brothers at IPICYT, as well to assure that the rights and conditions will be respected for the future, may left their personal data (name, affiliation, email). The administrator for this blog will keep the personal data, unless someone desires to make it public, as well as the comments. The data will be included in the Open Letter to support it (the text will be sent to the participants when ready). Thank you for the confidence and support.
